I guess most holidays are evolving from a singular day of celebration to a whole weekend (see Memorial Day, Labor Day, Christmas, Thanksgiving). I shouldn't be surprised that this is now the standard for Mother's day. What were we to do but plan a whole weekend for dear old Mom?
Saturday we took my mom to Horsetail Falls to walk the trails and see the beautiful falls. There is a part of the trail that takes you behind the falls which was pretty neat.
There were some absolutely gorgeous views on the trail.
Afterwards we went to a nice dinner (Thai) and then went home and took long naps.
Sunday we had a nice brunch together and just hung out. It was very nice to get out with Mom!
